Methods

In our lab we are using a wide range of different applications including ‘Omics’ approaches such as ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and Proteomics.

Currently we are establishing a procedure to profile chromatin signatures (single cell ATAC-seq) and the transcriptome (single cell RNA-seq) from single cells.

Furthermore, we established a novel automated high-throughput RNAi screening pipeline (Hajduskova et al. unpublished) to enhance genetic screens for factors that safeguard cell fates. In this context, we also invented a new approach based on bacterial conjugation for robust double and multiplexed RNAi in C. elegans (Kazmierczak et al. unpublished).

Standard gene engineering applications in our lab include fosmid recombineering as well as CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing.
